Three easy ways to improve your immunity.

We are barraged with violence in the media on a daily basis.  If course there are studies on both sides arguing whether or not violence in the media affects our immunity and behavior. One thing that can not be argued is that the media is more violent than ever, and so is our world.  Being mindful of what we take in may be more than just a good idea spiritually, it also looks as though it may benefit our brain and our immune systems. “Six major societies signed a joint statement on the hazards of exposing children to media violence.

Secondly, studies also show that the opposite is true.  If immunity is weakened with negative or violent images, it makes sense that positive messages and images will boost and strengthen the immunity.  Finally, it has been proven that we can boost immunity through laughter.  The take away here could be to turn off the violent programming and gaming, and get your laugh on! Funny movies and TV shows are great, and even better is laughing with friends and family.

This is your brain on meditation

I realized today that in all my posts regarding the brain and how to sculpt it with mindfulness, I’ve never actually explained how and why meditation works. Specifically, the science behind how your brain changes the longer you meditate. I think this is important for many reasons, but one of the most salient is that this information serves as a great motivator to keep up a daily practice (or start one)….

Learn to meditate during Acupuncture in West Hollywood

Acupuncture heals things like low back pain insomnia digestion stress and more.

Christian Cristiano West Hollywood and San Diego

I want to talk about what I think meditation is and what it is not. In the beginning, it is not getting the mind to stop thinking. It is also not controlling the mind. For me, it is simply coming home. I sit and I breath and I pay attention. If my mind chatters I count my breaths from 1 to 10 then start over again at 1. When I first started there were times I could not even count my breaths to 10 without my mind taking me away. If that happens, don’t judge yourself. Just notice and start over again at 1.

When I am diligent with my practice and meditating every day like I am now, I notice a big difference in my life. I am more connected, I am a better healer, and I am a more patient and loving person. We can all use a little more patience and a lot more focus in our lives. The following article backs up the benefits of meditation with scientific proof that it helps the brain develop.  Meditation improves brain function!

D-limonene as a Cancer Preventative and Strength Based Psychotherapy

doTERRA

doTERRA

In study after study, d-limonene comes up as a strong anti-cancer compound. This simple monoterpene has been found in nearly 100 studies in animals and humans to prevent, stop the progression, and destroy cancer. Please take some time to do some of your own research on this miraculous compound.  One way to obtain it is to squeeze the rinds of fruits like oranges and grapefruits, but a much easier way is to use pure essential oils is to simply add them to your water and drink them. I have been doing this every day, and I use doTERRA oils which in my opinion are the very best essential oils on the market. If you are interested in more information or if you want to obtain some excellent oils, feel free to contact me and I will assist you.

ACUPUNCTURE BY CHRISTIAN

Effective method of treatmentChristian Cristiano received his Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. The school’s renowned full-time program requires students to combine coursework with concurrent clinical internships, providing exposure to patients during the entire four years of study.

Christian received his B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing. After graduating, he started and managed a successful personal training business instilling in him a passion for helping people reach their goals.

Christian also studied at the University of Madrid at Cumplutense, where he became fluent in Spanish. After spending two years in Madrid, Christian was recruited for an extremely stressful position at a high-profile company in Chicago. He soon started suffering from shortness of breath and other respiratory issues, prompting him to visit several western MDs. Each diagnosed his condition as stress-related, and despite the fact that he was in his 20s and in otherwise good health, two of the doctors prescribed heavy tranquilizers.

Christian never filled the prescriptions. Instead, he visited a prominent Acupuncturist, Dr. Tony Lu, who cured his ailments in just three treatments. These incredible results, coupled with his passion for health and fitness, inspired Christian to pursue a career in Chinese medicine. He moved to San Diego to study Acupuncture, and has since developed an esteemed reputation for his comprehensive skills and goal-oriented practice.

Christian works to help patients achieve their healing objectives as quickly as possible. For some patients, it may be simply to heal an illness or injury. For others, it is a crucial element in a health maintenance, illness prevention or overall wellness plan. In addition, some programs may require weekly visits to ensure a homeostatic state so that organs function properly and in balance.

In his free time, he enjoys surfing, yoga, qi gong, lifting weights and running with his dog in the canyon. He continues to study Chinese Medicine.
